Flour, Lumber, and Iron In the late 1800s, important industries developed in our state. People found ways to profit from the state's natural resources, such as soil, water, timber, and minerals. Follow the stories of industrialists Charles Pillsbury (flour milling), Frederick Weyerhaeuser (lumber), and Henry Oliver (iron mining) to learn how these Minnesota industries developed.

It consists of three areas--the Emily District, the North range, and the South range.
